Pet Boarding in Watertown, MA - The Pooch Place

Boarding

The Pooch Palace offers an open boarding and day care setting for pets. We do require an interview and daytrip and/or overnight trial before a dog is accepted at Pooch Palace.  Our “guys” must be well socialized, agreeable and non-aggressive.

Our Specification and Custody Care Release form is required with detailed instructions for our Staff to provide the best possible care for your “guy.” We require current copies of Rabies, Distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccines for our records.

Clients provide their own food, ready to eat cookies, non breakable food bowls, mix-ins, vitamins, supplements and any required medication. The Pooch Palace staffed is prepared to address any medical or physical issues that may arise before your dog returns home!

Puppies under the age of 2 years are required to have Bordetella every 6 months until their 2nd birthday.   After 2 years of age, we will accept your vets schedule of vaccinations. Vaccinations should be faxed (617-924-5566) to us in advance to assure compliance and protection of those already visiting.

Veterinarian Support

We have a close working relationship with a traveling veterinarian, Dr. Jake Tedaldi of Vet Call. IN addition, Doctors Susan Rosenblatt, Patrick Hilliest, & Geoff Jarbou at Kindness Animal Hospital are available for last minute vaccination needs and any medical concerns that arise.
